Google Chrome is without a doubt one of the best browsers. Not only for its speed, but also for the many features it offers and they continue to arrive. Last year, Google was working on integrating the Live Translate functionality or in Portuguese, live translation. The aim is to work in conjunction with the live subtitles added some time ago. However, this functionality was not available by default, not even in Canary. Now the latest version of Chrome Canary 124 enables live translation by default.
Chrome Canary 124 activates this great function by default! Have you seen?
Although the feature is currently enabled by default in Chrome Canary 124, Leopeva64 claims that Google will soon make it part of the Chrome Dev and Beta versions before it hits the stable channel on April 10th.
As you would expect, Live Translation on Chrome works in the same way as on a Pixel, making life easier for people who usually watch/listen to content in foreign languages. As you would expect, live captions must be turned on for this feature to work. Both options can be found in Settings > Accessibility in Chrome, but the Live Translation option currently only appears in the Canary version.
The Chromium team is wasting no time releasing new versions of Chrome. While Chrome 122 reached stable release in February, Chrome 123 followed just a few days ago. However, we have already learned a little about Chrome 124, in addition to the aforementioned translation functionality. So the Chromium team is preparing a major update for Chrome's Google Lens capabilities. Basically, it is intended to complement (or replace) the sidebar that currently appears when you right-click on an image and tap Search image with Google.
