The survival adventure started almost a month ago Nightingale into early access. The title was repeatedly described as extremely promising and also in… our preview we saw a lot of potential.
But shortly after the launch it was clear that the developers at Inflexion Games had published a technical debacle. Massive performance and network problems with the Always Online title caused a lot of frustration and resulted in catastrophic Steam reviews. The studio explains the next steps in a new update video.
Studio boss is not happy
A long time ago, Inflexion Games presented a roadmap in which they explained what they specifically wanted to improve. Now the team of former Bioware developers explains in one Update-Video, what the current status is and what happens next. After a short introduction by community manager Steph Hardman, the managing director judges Aaryn Flynn a few words to the fans.
“We've spent a lot of time reading your impressions online, going through Discord, following your streams, and making our plans for the next phase of the game. We realize there are some things we're not happy with. Whether it's network interruptions, missing quality of life improvements, or other features in the game that are missing or not quite where we want them to be, we're working hard to fix these things and ensure that you get the best possible gaming experience.”
Finally, Flynn thanks players for the helpful feedback and promises further updates.

Daily patches for the studio are simply not feasible in the long term. In plain language, this means that larger updates will be released in the future instead of many small hotfixes.

These features are planned for the long term
Regarding the prioritization of the roadmap, Inflexion Games explains that they first want to remove all bugs and problems that actively influence the gaming experience. Only then will the studio want to work on new content, such as additional weapons, NPC features or new biomes. Also a Offline-Modus should follow in the long term. Maybe it would have helped if they had simply asked their German colleagues at Keen Games. They are currently showing Enshroudedwhat early access should actually look like.
