Earlier this week it became known that Saber Interactive is separating from Embracer Group and moving to Beacon Interactive. As part of the deal, it was announced that it includes all studios under the Saber brand, as well as the teams DIGIC, Fractured Byte, Mad Head Games, New World Interactive, Nimble Giant, Sandbox Strategies, Slipgate, 3D Realms.
At the same time, it was reported that 38 games in development were leaving Embracer Group for Beacon Interactive, while some projects remained with the former owner of Saber. On his social networks, Saber creative director Tim Willits clarified about 3 games that, as part of this deal, the company retained and continues to develop them – these are the projects:
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. An anticipated third-person shooter, due out on September 9, 2024.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. A cooperative first-person shooter where players become “toxic commandos” and fight tons of monsters.
Jurassic Park: Survival. Single-player, first-person stealth action adventure. The developers promise to tell an original story that will appeal to both Jurassic Park fans and players who are not yet familiar with the franchise.
There is no information about the other 35 games that Saber Interactive retained after leaving Embracer Group.
