Although the production of Blade became chaos since it was announced, it is undeniable that this film is one of the most anticipated from Marvel Studios. After the creative reboot of many works in development, the company made several changes to this film starring Mahershala Ali.
One of these changes involves the cast of actors. During an interview with Variety, actor Aaron Pierre, known for his role in Kryptonconfirmed that he will no longer be part of the film after initially being announced as one of the main characters.
“There were conversations from the beginning, but as the project evolved, I was no longer a part of it,” the actor said during the NAACP Image Awards. Although the role he was going to play was not known, it was known that he would be one of the protagonists alongside Blade.
This confirms that Marvel has made significant changes to the film, which could benefit the enigmatic character. And not only have there been changes in the cast, but the company has also decided to raise the recommended age rating for the film, going from being for those over 13 years old to a more explicit one and only for those over 18. Blade will hit theaters around the world on November 7, 2025.
