The base model of the Samsung Galaxy S25 could also be equipped with a larger screen like on the other models. This is according to new information from South Korea.
The base model of the Galaxy S24 (test), has moved from an almost compact design of the Galaxy S23 to a slightly larger screen, from 6.1 inches to 6.2 inches. Now, a new rumor has it that the base Galaxy S25 will feature a 6.36-inch display, which would be a significant increase over its predecessor.
Samsung could therefore equip the Galaxy S25 with a new chassis to accommodate the new, larger screen. At the same time, it is possible that the new panel will be complemented by a higher resolution which will improve the sharpness of the screen.
The Galaxy S25 would not be the only one to venture into the field of large smartphones. The next iPhone 16 Pro, which should arrive in the fall, should also have a 6.3-inch screen, which would place it on the same level as the Galaxy S25.
In addition to the screen, the entire Galaxy S25 should also benefit from radical changes in terms of design, which has not been seen for several years. According to leaker Tech Reve, the head of Samsung's MX design division would have been responsible for refreshing the design of the Galaxy S25.

The same source also stated that the Galaxy S25 would not bring major progress in terms of photo module, since the base models, including the Galaxy S25+, could retain the main lens of 50 MP. Samsung could, however, opt for a sensor supplied by Sony.
Furthermore, the range would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Samsung's Exynos 2500 SoC. Other than that, details regarding the Galaxy S25 are scarce at the moment. The flagship should arrive in January 2025.
