Both construction materials and work are becoming more expensive.
Some delays in the construction schedule of Intel and TSMC chip production plants in the United States, according to Nikkei Asian Review, also negatively affected the mood of suppliers of consumables and chemicals who intended to develop their own infrastructure in Arizona. Some of them either completely abandoned the idea of building their enterprises in the United States, or took a wait-and-see approach to the issue of allocating subsidies from the authorities.

The main problem is that building enterprises in the United States turned out to be several times more expensive than in Asia, and since the initial estimates were formed, they have also increased several times. Some chemical suppliers are now finding it more profitable to ship their products from outside the United States than to spend money on building local plants. There is also no certainty about the amount of demand in the American market, and many suppliers are now waiting for the allocation of subsidies by the US authorities for the needs of Intel and TSMC.
