Huawei has just announced that it will launch a new global launch on March 21st. The presentation will take place in Mexico City, which will serve as the stage for the official announcement of the new Nova 12 series of smartphones.
Three new models of this generation will be revealed, but it seems that the long-awaited and desired P60 and Mate 60 will take a little longer to arrive.
Huawei Nova 12s bets on the front camera
So let's get to know the new models one by one, starting with the Huawei Nova 12s, which makes a strong commitment to its front camera with 60 megapixels of resolution. This sensor is, in fact, the one that provides the highest resolution of the entire optical system.
The rear camera configuration includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an eight-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Under the chassis is the Snapdragon 778G processor paired with a surprising 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage capacity. Also inside is a 4500 mAh battery with support for 66-watt fast charging.
Huawei Nova 12 SE and Nova 12i share some specifications
The remaining two models in the series, Nova 12 SE and Nova 12i, share some specifications. Both are equipped with the Snapdragon 680 processor and have 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage capacity.
They also share the same primary sensor with 108 megapixels of resolution in their rear camera. However, the Nova 12 SE also has an eight-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a two-megapixel macro sensor. The Nova 12i will have a configuration that only includes the primary sensor and a depth sensor with two megapixels of resolution.
As far as the screen is concerned, both models provide Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. But the Nova 12 SE will have a 6.67-inch OLED screen while the Nova 12i has an IPS LCD panel.
But they couldn't be more different when it comes to charging and battery. The Nova 12 Se has a 4500 mAh unit with support for 66-watt fast charging; The 12i has a larger battery with 5000 mAh, but fast charging is limited to 40 watts.
