As part of its in-house AI developer conference GTC 2024, Nvidia has, in addition to the new Nvidia B200 (“Blackwell”) dual-die GPU and the huge GB200 superchip (“Grace Blackwell”) with Grace CPU based on this graphics solution, also particularly powerful SuperPODs for supercomputers presented. SuperPODs bundle DGX B200 or DGX GB200
Nvidia defines a SuperPOD for supercomputers as a system with at least eight or more DGX B200 with B200 GPU or DGX GB200 with GB200 superchip. A SuperPOD is available with at least 64 B200 GPUs (128 GPU dies) in the form of an SXM module and 8 Xeon processors, or with up to 576 B200 GPUs, which translates into an incredible 1,152 GPU dies and 288 Grace dies. According to Nvidia, the new SuperPODs will be launched this year through well-known sales partners such as Cisco, Dell, HP Enterprise, Supermicro and Lenovo and will represent the “factory of the AI revolution in the industry,” said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Framework for the keynote at GTC 2024.
