Connie will become the General Manager of the Action RPG group.
Connie Booth, a former top manager of Sony's gaming division, has joined the Electronic Arts team. Booth was the head of production for PlayStation Studios' internal studios for many years.
Booth left Sony's gaming division at the end of 2023 after nearly 30 years with the company. During this time, Booth had a hand in creating most of the key PlayStation exclusives; the reasons for Connie's departure were not reported.
At Electronic Arts, Booth will become general manager of the Action RPG group. The studios BioWare, EA Motive and Cliffhanger will be under her control, Booth will report directly to the head of EA Entertainment, Laura Miele.
Connie Booth's main task at Electronic Arts will be to help reorganize the company's internal studios. EA expects Booth to “have a positive impact” on the company’s games.
Now the studios under Booth's control are working on at least four new games: Dragon Age Dreadwolf, a new part of Mass Effect, as well as games about Black Panther and Iron Man.
