The action-adventure “Rise of the Ronin” will be released for the PlayStation 5 at the end of the week. Team Ninja looks back on the development in another behind-the-scenes video.
In a few days, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Koei Tecmo and the responsible development studio Team Ninja will invite you to a unique adventure with the action adventure “Rise of the Ronin”. Over the last few weeks, those responsible have been presenting us with a series of videos that look behind the scenes of the development of the PlayStation 5 exclusive title.
In what is now the fourth part of this video series, various developers look back on their work. Among others, Fumihiko Yasuda (Game Producer/Director), Takayuki Saga (UI & RPG Director), Yojiro Yoshimatsu (Sound Director), Takeo Fujisaki (Combat Design Director) and Kosuke Watamatsu (Animation Lead) have their say.
So they talk about what significance it had for “Rise of the Ronin” that they decided to have an open game world. The combat system is also discussed, which plays an important role in such a samurai adventure.
Team Ninja usually likes things difficult
The development studio has been notorious for decades for creating games with a high level of difficulty. After the “Ninja Gaiden” series, they most recently had the two “Nioh” adventures, “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty” and “Stranger of Paradise : Final Fantasy Origin” is also in this vein.
However, Rise of the Ronin will not only be Team Ninja's first open-world game, but also three levels of difficulty entail. This means players should have the chance to find a difficulty that suits them. In addition, you will have an influence on the story with decisions and dialogue options.
If the adventure is still too difficult for you despite the different levels of difficulty, you can also play the online co-op mode and get support. Together you have the opportunity to complete the main missions. However, keep in mind that you will need a PlayStation Plus membership to use the online features.
You can get the standard edition of “Rise of the Ronin”. im PlayStation Store buy for 79.99 euros. The Digital Deluxe Edition, on the other hand, costs 89.99 euros and offers the Bando warrior armor set, the formal Japanese clothing as well as the official art book and the soundtrack in digital versions.
