SteamDB has published a list of games that generated the most revenue on Steam between March 12 and March 19. Thanks to him, the most successful participants in the big spring sale were determined (ends at 20:00 Moscow time on March 21).
As it turned out, among all the participants in the sale, the most revenue was brought in by the tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, which received an 80 percent discount. The Ubisoft Montreal game added 15 positions and took fourth, and also updated its personal online record (201,933 users). The growth in sales was facilitated by the start of the first season of the ninth year of support.
Next came Baldur's Gate 3 (the role-playing hit is offered at 10% cheaper) and the asymmetrical survival horror Dead by Daylight (−60%), which received a new paid chapter of All Things Wicked on March 12. Also in the top 10 were Cyberpunk 2077 (−50%), EA Sports FC 24 (−80%), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (−35%) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (−67%).
Other events on the chart:
For the sixth week in a row, the leader of the premium chart remains the cooperative shooter Helldivers 2. After the addition of combat robots to the game, online approached the record level, after which it began to fall (peak in the last 24 hours – 289,256 people); pre-order of the action role-playing game Dragon's Dogma 2 from Capcom (released on March 22) rose one position and became second; the store management simulator Supermarket Simulator lost six positions (it is now 12th), but set a new online record of its own (51,363 users); amid the sale, dozens of games returned to the chart, including Hogwarts Legacy (13th place), Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (15th), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (23rd), Total War: Warhammer III (29th -e), It Takes Two (31st), Diablo IV (35th), Battlefield 2042 (36th), Persona 5 Royal (37th), Dave the Diver (39th), Star Wars Jedi : Survivor (42nd), Stellaris (44th), Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (49th), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (51st), Titanfall 2 (60th) and God of War (68th); discounts also helped update the Steam traffic record – on March 17, 36,354,393 people were simultaneously on the service; The only new product (not counting the addition to Dead by Daylight) was the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection from Aspyr. However, due to catastrophically low quality, the updated duology of classic shooters only reached 81st place. It has only 19% positive reviews (the rating is based on six thousand reviews) – with this result it entered the top ten worst games on the platform;
Roguelike Backpack Battles from PlayWithFurcifer appeared on the chart for the first time, released in early access on March 8 (28th place) – it has “extremely positive” reviews (95% based on 4.7 thousand reviews) and 36,557 concurrent players at its peak.
