Even before the release of the reveal trailer for “GTA 6,” the leaker “JarlOfRivia” correctly predicted its contents. Now the leaker brought up a possible release period.
In December, the developers at Rockstar Games finally put an end to the community's wait and released the official reveal trailer for the open-world adventure “GTA 6”.
The leaker “JarlOfRivia” drew attention to himself before publication. This correctly predicted much of the content that was shown in the first trailer for “GTA 6”. These days, the leaker is once again a topic of conversation and gave us a possible release date for the long-awaited title.
According to “JarlOfRivia” “GTA 6” is scheduled to appear in the first quarter of 2025. Probably in January or February. Another leaker became even more specific.
Will it be released in February 2025?
We’re talking about “Nuro”. “Nuro” also correctly predicted last year that the first trailer for “GTA 6” would be released in December. However, he did not give any further details at the time and was nowhere near as specific as “JarlOfRivia”, who went into detail about the contents of the trailer in his leak.
As “Nuro” reports, Rockstar Games is currently aiming for a release on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He did not reveal where the leaker got his information from. Consequently, we should first take note of the information with the necessary caution.
The developers at Rockstar Games usually do not comment on rumors of this kind. Instead, the studio is currently only talking about a release in 2025. “GTA 6” will initially be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The implementation for the PC takes place in one later point in time.
Take-Two strives for perfection
As part of the current business figures, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke in February about the work on “GTA 6” and his company's expectations. After “GTA 5” broke numerous records with more than 195 million units sold, the publisher is also expecting “GTA 6” to deliver one of the biggest titles in the next few years.
At the same time, Zelnick assured the community that the developers at Rockstar Games strive for nothing less than creative perfection. “We strive for perfection. When we feel like we've optimized it creatively, it's time to release something,” said Take-Two's CEO on the release of “GTA 6.”
In order for “GTA 6” to meet the high expectations of the community, those responsible at Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games would also accept postponements.
However, for financial reasons, both the publisher and the developers “have no interest in the development dragging on forever.”
