A new Netflix series revolts viewers to the point that some are canceling their subscription! Netflix is even pushed to remove content to satisfy its subscribers. The star, whose life the show adapts, spoke out to respond to dissatisfied viewers.
If Netflix is used to controversies with titles like 365 Days (Barbara Bialowas, Tomasz Mandes) or Money Shot: The Pornhub Story (Suzanne Hillinger), the platform's latest mini-series is causing a scandal, accused of making adult cinema mainstream, and provokes an outcry.
Rocco it's over
The Supersex series, by Francesca Manieri, freely adapts the story of one of the superstars of the porn industry, Rocco Siffredi. Showing a score of 86% on RottenTomatoes, the adaptation of the life of the so-called “godfather of rough sex” has made a lot of noise, but not for the right reasons. Some viewers spoke out on social networks to denounce what they call “sickening content”.
Now we have porn on Netflix too? I'm canceling my account as we speak, my kids can't see this!
Subscribers say they want to protect their children, arguing that the TV show should not be featured as much on the platform. Others argue that the series should be referenced differently, arguing that “women who post a photo while breastfeeding are reported, so content like this should be a separate category on Netflix.” Note that an Instagram publication on the series had already disappeared following initial fiery feedback.

Rocco says it all
In an interview with LADbible before the series' release, Rocco Siffredi spoke about the project. Asked about the possibility that the show could shock, the latter said “of course”.
Either you like it or you don't (…) that's really who I am. What the show shows is what people don't know, it's how I grew up and how my life turned out. This is the real Rocco, the one people don't know, unlike the naked one, in front of the camera. -Rocco Siffredi
Having shot more than 1,300 films during his career, the actor sees the series adapting his life being talked about, both for good and for bad. If this one is a real success, there is no doubt that Netflix could adapt other biopics of equally controversial stars.
