This Tuesday (19), Mozilla made Firefox 124 available on the launch channel with a series of improvements and more features. The browser now supports cursor navigation in the PDF viewer as one of the main inclusions.
In addition, the browser now has improvements to the Windows taskbar jump lists, in order to make their use more efficient and allow for a smoother overall browsing experience.
Starting with this new version of Mozilla Firefox, the availability of the Qwant search engine has been expanded to all languages in the France region, as well as in other nearby locations, such as Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.
There are also new features for those who use the tool on Mac. The browser now supports the full screen API for all window types on macOS. The developer's intention is to improve the user experience on this Apple system for full screen spaces, menu bar and dock.
Mozilla also released Firefox 115.9.0 ESR, as an extended support version, for security fixes. This is the only one with support for older editions of Windows (7, 8 and 8.1), expected to be discontinued in September 2024.
Firefox 124 can be downloaded through its official website. If you already have the browser installed, you can check for updates in the following path: Menu > Help > About Firefox.
