This factor does not limit the production volumes of these electric vehicles.
Even at the last quarterly event, Tesla representatives made it clear that the production volumes of 4680 type battery cells do not in any way constrain the assembly volumes of the Cybertruck electric pickups that use them. Formally, the assembly of the latter began last year, and some bloggers specializing in overflights of the Tesla plant in Texas claim that in this quarter, several dozen commercial vehicles of this model could be found in the finished product parking lot per day.
According to Electrek, Tesla representatives this week posted a photo on social network X demonstrating the company's progress in increasing production volumes of 4680 battery cells at a plant in Texas.

The battery cell, painted in the colors of the American flag, on the floor of the workshop also contained the number “1000,” thereby indicating the ability of the Texas plant to produce enough 4,680 cells in a week to assemble 1,000 Cybertruck pickup trucks. Of course, this does not mean that the company is ready to produce pickup trucks themselves in such quantities right now, although it plans to increase annual production volumes to 125,000 units. Tesla Model Y crossovers produced in Texas can also be equipped with such cells, so the company’s warehouses will not suffer from overstocking.
