According to the Chinese brand's announcement, the Xiaomi 14 and 13 Ultra models will receive Master Portrait mode, based on AI technology. The update will be available in April for the base Xiaomi 14 and in June for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
It should be noted that this feature will also reach the Xiaomi 14 Pro, which remains a model exclusively sold in the Chinese market.
Master Portrait mode was made available for the first time on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model. With this feature, it is possible to use integrated AI technology to remove wrinkles, even out skin tone and improve some features of the portrait subject, such as the eyes.
But the functionality also supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second (fps) with continuous zoom, 8K recording at 30 fps and even slow motion with 4K resolution at 120 frames per second.
Another new feature of this update will be the AISP technology – Xiaomi AI Image Semantic Processor. Billed as the first large AI model computational photography platform, AISP turns to HyperOS for increased CPU, GPU, NPU and ISP processing.
In practice, this platform allows you to use resources such as Ultra RAW negative and is compatible with professional image editing software. It also has the Ultra Snap feature that can capture 150 photos, using advanced algorithms.
Both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are currently available in the online Xiaomi Store with prices starting at €1099.99 for the base model and starting at €1499.99 for the Ultra model.
