As the developers at Atlus announced, the role-playing game “Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance” will be released a little earlier than originally planned. As part of this announcement, the studio also announced the new date.
In February, Atlus and Sega announced “Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance,” a complete package for the role-playing game originally released for the Switch at the end of 2021.
In a recent announcement to the community, the developers pointed out that “Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance” will be released a little earlier than announced last month. As it is said, Atlus brought forward the release of the new role-playing game by a week: from June 21st to June 14th, 2024.
According to Atlus, the new release date applies to all versions of “Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance”. “For those who pre-order the game, orders will automatically be adjusted to reflect the updated release date. Thank you for your continued support,” the studio continued.
Atlus is expanding the RPG with new content
In the official announcement of the reboot, Altus executives pointed out that “Vengeance” had two storylines. The “Book of Creation” picks up the events of the original “Shin Megami Tensei 5”. There is also the “Book of Vengeance”, which gives you a completely new story.
The new book revolves around the tragic fate of fallen soldiers who seek revenge. In addition to new characters, the focus here is on an enigmatic group of demons, the Qadistu.
The Qadistu are described by Atlus as a faction that pursues its own plans apart from the fight between the defenders of order and those of chaos.
In addition to the new story, “Vengeance” includes gameplay improvements. These include adjustments to the combat system or new elements when exploring the game world.

In addition to the standard version, which costs 59.99 euros, a Digital Deluxe Edition of “Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance” is being released, which is available to interested parties im PlayStation Store for 69.99 euros. In addition to the role-playing game itself, there are various digital extras waiting here.
These include the three DLCs “Mitama Dance of Wealth”, “Mitama Dance of EXP” and “Mitama Dance of Miracles”. Buyers of the Digital Deluxe Edition can also enjoy two exclusive demon side quests.
