The action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 has received two major updates so far this year: patch 2.11 at the end of January and patch 2.12 at the end of February. However, the former caused an unusual bug: players with a Razer mouse were unable to use the side buttons, which led to the game crashing. The developers at CD Projekt have surprisingly fixed this very problem this week.
Bug fix and complaints
Other changes, apart from the aforementioned bug fix, are apparently not included. Since it is only a tiny patch, the update does not have its own version number. So players cannot distinguish whether they are already using the updated version. Anyone who plays with mods should still notice it, because according to the developers, these are partially disrupted by the update. If you have recently had a problem with mods in Cyberpunk 2077, you should simply update or reinstall them.

This is at least causing dissatisfaction with X user @thiagojramos2: He complains that his mods no longer work as a result of the fix and that the update, at around half a gigabyte, is far too big for the change. A corresponding community mod that also fixes the problem is said to have been comparatively tiny.
In line with this topic: CD Projekt Red: Cyberpunk 2077 is “finished” – here’s what happens next
With the latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt probably simply stuck to its own update pipeline, which probably replaced several game files – presumably the entire input processing of the game – with the update. This makes the download larger, but such processes prevent new bugs. Getting angry about it probably doesn't do much good: players with Razer mice can be happy about the fix, and players with mods can just check and update them.
