Michael Phillip Begum, Street Fighter pro player and member of the FGC (famous fighting games community) as well as an important partner of the AbleGamers Foundation, passed away at the age of 35. The announcement of this sad news arrived on social networks directly from the family who asked their followers to share their memories to pay homage to Michael.
“On behalf of the family of Michael Phillip Begum, 'Brolylegs,' we want to inform friends and fans around the world that Mike has passed away. This sudden loss is devastating for all of us. The family needs time to learn more about his passing and time to process this grief and loss. He survives thanks to his loving mother Josefina and his brothers Jonathan and Karin Begum” – writes the family in a long statement released on X (Twitter).

Michael Begum was born with arthrogryposis, a motor deficit that prevented him from moving both his arms and legs. Despite this, he managed to learn to play video games at a young age and also became a competitive player of Super Smash Bros Meele. Recently, the gaming world also lost Mutsumi Inomata, the character designer of the Tales Of series, she was 63 years old.
