Publishing house Secret Mode and developers from the British studio The Chinese Room, which is also working on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, have revealed the release date of their psychological horror film Still Wakes the Deep.
Let's remember that Still Wakes the Deep was officially presented last summer at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 and until recently was expected to be released in early 2024.
As it became known, Still Wakes the Deep will go on sale only on June 18, 2024 for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. At release, the game will join the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog.
The events of Still Wakes the Deep will unfold in 1975 on board the drilling platform Beira D in the waters of Scotland, which, as a result of the disaster, lost contact with the outside world and began to sink.
Players in the role of a worker of the Beira D will have to be left alone with an indescribable horror “beyond logic and reality” on board and, if possible, save their crew members from it.
Gamers will have no weapons or superpowers at their disposal – only ingenuity and determination, which will be useful when exploring the platform: any wrong step could be the last.
They promise an exciting story, “amazing visual performance” with graphics on Unreal Engine 5 and the use of Nanite micropolygonal geometry, voice acting from actors from Scotland and text translation into Russian.
