Within a few hours of landing on the shelves of all the shops, Rise of the Ronin is already at the center of an in-depth analysis that compares the three different video options that Team Ninja has implemented in the exclusive PlayStation 5.
The author of the comparison is the now well-known ElAnalistaDeBits, who published a video dedicated to the PS5 game on his YouTube channel. By observing the video, we discover the main differences between the three graphic modes of Rise of the Ronin, each of which has strengths and weaknesses.
According to the content creator, the best of the available presets is Performance, which allows you to play at 60 frames per second with a dynamic resolution of 1080p: in this case, the expert's analysis highlights that sometimes the game is forced to lower the resolution down to 1044p to keep the framerate stable. It also seems that this is the only option for which it is worth enabling VRR if you have a panel that supports this functionality, which in the case of the Team Ninja game does not allow you to go beyond 60fps.
The methods are more problematic Quality e Ray Tracing. The first improves the quality of the shadows and adds the anisotropic filter with some extra post-processing effects, with the dynamic resolution at 1440p which in most situations is around 1260p. The Ray Tracing mode instead improves the quality of the lighting of some elements, but in this case the resolution is lower than that of the Performance mode. It would then appear that both modes suffer from stuttering problems.
In short, according to ElAnalistaDeBits it would be preferable to play Rise of the Ronin at 60fps in Performance mode.
