AMD will also market its Ryzen 8000G (“Hawk Point”) Zen 4 APUs as pure desktop CPUs without an RDNA 3 graphics unit. A Ryzen 7 8700F with 8C/16T and a Ryzen 5 8400F with 6C/12T are already on the official roadmap and roughly correspond to the Ryzen 7 8700G and Ryzen 5 8500G.
Hawk Point without RDNA 3 for the desktop
Under the motto “Attacking every price point”, AMD has now presented the two new desktop processors based on the already known desktop APUs at an official presentation in Beijing. It is not yet known whether the Zen 4 CPUs, which, unlike the Ryzen 8000G, have to do without a Radeon 780M, Radeon 760M or Radeon 740M, are intended for global or exclusively for Chinese trade @9550pro on X

Zen 4 and Zen 4c for more efficiency
Like the desktop APUs of the Ryzen 8000G series (“Hawk Point”), the Ryzen 8000F will also partly rely on a combination of Zen 4 and Zen 4c and thus choose a slightly more efficient approach than the well-known processors of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series (” Raphael”). With regard to the technical specifications, no surprises are to be expected with the two Zen 4(c) CPUs.

While the Ryzen 7 8700F relies on a total of 8 Zen 4 processor cores, the Ryzen 5 8400F combines two Zen 4 and four Zen 4c, as already seen with the 8700G and 8500G. The NPU will also be reserved for the large model.
