The producers of John Wick will rethink the film.
Thunder Road Pictures, which produces the John Wick franchise, has announced that it will collaborate with Dragonfly Films to “reimagine” the crime action film The Boondock Saints.
According to producer Basil Iwanyk, he and his partners “immediately jumped at the opportunity” to bring back Connor and Murphy McManus, the main characters of “The Boondock Saints” played by Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery.

The idea of developing an iconic mythology and characters for longtime fans, while opening it all up to a whole new generation, makes us excited.
While Reedus and Flanery will reprise their iconic roles as the McManus brothers, director of the two original films Troy Duffy will only serve as a producer on the reimagining for the new Saints.

We continue to operate without our longtime friend Troy Duffy. He's decided to write a series of books about the Boondock Saints and I can't wait to read it.
At the moment, the film does not have a director or an approximate release date.
