Good Marvels against evil Marvels – this also works on the Wii, but with subtly modified controls: To help Dr. In order to thrash Doom and his henchmen, you have to memorize a whole series of different combinations of weapons on the Nintendo console.
If you let the remote control twitch upwards briefly, you will give the henchmen a powerful uppercut – hectic wagging, on the other hand, will let your hero deal out quick standard blows: Alternatively, you can simply press the A button – this protects your wrist and lets the superhero Your heart (the remaining three muscle packs are under the console's AI command) will hit faster. The camera control is much trickier: tilt the nunchuck to the left or right to adjust the viewing angle accordingly – while at the same time you use the stick to specify the direction of travel.
Opinion & Rating
Robert Bannert says: Bad controls bring down even the most interesting game – and compulsive adaptation to a control concept it wasn't intended for proves to be just as bad. While the Marvel heroes on Xbox, 360 and PS2 – thanks to the good old joypad – fight dynamically and quickly and benefit from the camera adjustment using a second analog stick, their Wii excursion quickly degenerates into aimless fidgeting. The comparatively sluggish execution and the delayed query of the Wii controller make the campaign against Doom even more difficult. It's a shame about the at least graphically exemplary implementation of the originally humorous brawl and role-playing combination: for fans of the template it is the first choice – on systems with a conventional pad.
The previously motivating superhero homage fails due to the new, imprecise controls.
