The last time the game was supposedly supposed to be released was in February.
Since the fall of 2023, Ubisoft has been regularly postponing the release of the multiplayer action game XDefiant: the beta test was successful, but the game cannot be released. Insider Tom Henderson found out how the project is doing.
According to Henderson's sources, the main problem with XDefiant is that the project's management is trying to copy Call of Duty, rather than make its own game. Because of this, things are constantly being added to the game, and then they spend some time fixing it.
It is alleged that XDefiant was last scheduled for release at the end of February, but was again postponed indefinitely. At the same time, sources say, XDefiant is not in danger of being closed.
The developers, Henderson explains, are still conducting internal testing and are now preparing to launch another public test.
The insider was unable to find out when XDefiant will be released; the developers probably don't know this themselves. Henderson believes that XDefiant will be released in a few months at best, provided that there are no significant changes to the game based on the results of testing.
