Earlier this month, media reported that social network X (formerly Twitter) plans to release a new application sharing smart TVs from Amazon and Samsung. Now, app researcher Nima Owji has posted a short video that he says shows off the interface of the upcoming X smart TV app.
Short 30 second video researcher posted on your social media account X. It shows the login screen, home page, search functions, and user profile page. The video released by the researcher largely confirms previous reports regarding what to expect from the new X app. The home page has a “For You” section with personalized recommendations, as well as a section with short videos.

Ouji noted that this is a web application, so in theory it should work on any smart TV. As for the purpose of this product, it is created so that users can watch long videos on a large screen, not limited to the screen of a smartphone or computer. This confirms one of the recent statements on the X developer blog, which stated that the social network is a “video-first platform.” The same statement claimed that 8 out of 10 user sessions on the platform involve watching videos. It was also reported that in December 2023, users X watched videos with a total duration of 130 years.
