Today, March 25, 2024, The Elder Scrolls game series celebrated a major anniversary. Exactly 30 years ago, the role-playing game The Elder Scrolls: Arena went on sale. Bethesda Game Studios celebrated this event by publishing in its in social networksin which she expressed her gratitude to the fans and noted the importance of the brand for the entire gaming industry.
In honor of the holiday, the developer offered users to download Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall for free from the official website. The classics The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are now available on Xbox consoles in 4K resolution via backwards compatibility.
The studio also recalled the active work on The Elder Scrolls VI, first presented back in 2018. Regarding the current state of the game, all that is known is that Bethesda is testing early builds. Details on the release date for TES VI have not been provided, other than to indicate in court filings between Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that the game will arrive “no earlier than 2026” for PC and Xbox.
Finally, Bethesda recalled the development of the mobile game The Elder Scrolls Castles, which will expand the well-known universe, but details on it will be presented later. Bethesda Game Studios also released two pieces of art on the occasion of the TES anniversary: everyone will decide for themselves what to do with them.
