Considering the suddenness of what happened, and that the alarm began to howl after the fact, the version is working.
Today, about half an hour before noon Moscow time, sudden explosions were heard in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, before which the air raid siren was not activated in the region. Apparently, given the suddenness of the strike, hypersonic weapons were used for it, and not the “Dagger”, the potential use of which is accompanied by an air raid alert on all territories of Ukraine.
Considering that there are not many options from which to choose, all that remains are the Zircon sea-based hypersonic missiles, which were first used against targets in Ukraine this year, but have not yet reached mass use.
Now Kyiv groups on social networks are sharing footage of the consequences of hitting one of the targets, and also report that explosions were heard from the Zhulyany airport. The Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already reported on the alleged interception of two ballistic missiles.
It is clear that at the moment all the above information is biased, so it is necessary to wait for the official comment from the Russian Ministry of Defense or further information from the Ukrainian authorities. If hypersonic Zircons were indeed used, then the targets were clearly more than just weapons depots.
