Following an apology to Dragon's Dogma 2 users, publisher and developer Capcom introduced a list of planned updates for its open-world fantasy action RPG.
Specifically for the PC version, improvements in image quality are announced when using DLSS Super Resolution scaling, as well as preventing the appearance of low-quality models after selecting certain settings.
Dragon's Dogma 2 on consoles will include the ability to lock the frame rate (limited to 30 fps) and an on/off option for motion blur and ray tracing.
Capcom emphasized that deactivating the mentioned features will not significantly affect the performance of the game – performance improvements are planned in future updates.
As for changes for all target platforms, Capcom plans:
add the option to start the game over again in Dragon's Dogma 2; increase the number of available “Art of Transfiguration” items in pawn guilds to 99; reduce the time until players receive their own housing for saving and resting; error correction.
It was previously reported that the highest priority when releasing patches for Dragon's Dogma 2 will be to fix critical issues such as crashes and freezes that users have encountered.
Dragon's Dogma 2 was released on March 22 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. On Steam, the project received 49 thousand “mixed” (at the start there were “mostly negative”) reviews and reached 228 thousand concurrent players.
