Very soon, Samsung will launch a new model in the mid-range smartphone segment. The Galaxy M55 arrives with similarities to the A55 model, but brings good news for selfie enthusiasts: a front camera with 50 megapixels of resolution, which even surpasses the front sensor of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

But, according to the website MSPowerUser, the new Galaxy M55 has other equally interesting attributes. The website says that the model is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED+ screen that will provide Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
This panel, in addition to having a built-in fingerprint recognition reader, will also provide a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.
The triple rear camera configuration will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an eight-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a two-megapixel macro sensor.
In the front area, there will be a 50 megapixel camera that will have the highest resolution ever on a Samsung smartphone. This model will significantly surpass the top of the range Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has a front camera of just 12 megapixels.
Inside, the Galaxy M55 will house the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, paired with up to a generous 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage capacity.
It runs Android 14 and will be entitled to five major updates to Google's operating system. Furthermore, the model will also integrate Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB-C.
Unfortunately, there is no information about the price at which it will hit the market. Meanwhile, in Portugal the “almost twin” A55 model is now available on the brand’s national website.
