After two successful turn-based role-playing games, the next “South Park” video game is now appearing – and puts the action at the center. Our test clarifies whether the transformation to the 3D world is successful and, above all, whether the co-op brawl in “Snow Day” is fun.

When the role-playing game “South Park: The Stick of Truth” was released almost exactly ten years ago, there was cause for praise in a number of areas. One of them concerned the visual presentation. The two series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, together with developer Obsidian Entertainment, first had to think about where exactly which buildings were located on the world map. Otherwise the game looked like the interactive version of the famous TV series. We can also praise “South Park: Snow Day”, which now indirectly continues the plot of “The Stick of Truth” on PC and console, for its successful visual implementation – although it transforms the game world and its inhabitants into an unfamiliar 3D version .
