In short, Sony has decided to bring let's plays to PS5. As planned by the developers, the console (with the permission of the owner) will automatically record videos of certain actions (obtaining trophies or searching for hidden objects) in the game. Once moderated, other PlayStation players will be able to use the videos as tips without having to search for them on YouTube.
No one will record anything without the owner’s knowledge – first you need to enable the auto-save gameplay option in the settings. Videos will be deleted from the console as soon as they are uploaded to Sony's servers, and once approved/published, the creator will receive a notification on the console. The tool will record video without sound, so you don't have to worry about your webcam, microphone, or group chat. A separate section with published content is also planned so that, if necessary, the author can delete any video.
These new community videos will complement the existing Game Help section, which provides access to gameplay tips, advice, and walkthrough videos from the developers. The update that will bring the feature will be released before the end of this year, and access to it will be open to both PS Plus subscribers and those who do not have a subscription.
PS5 interface update
Sony is now also testing an update to the PS5 interface with a redesigned Explore section – among other things, it will feature Live wallpapers and widgets on the home screen with various useful information (battery level of gamepads, free disk space, number of trophies, latest screenshots). The section will also show the latest releases on PS Plus and some promotions from the PS Store. The update is already available in beta, but only for the American PS Store. We are expecting a public release soon.
