What we know about the new Star Trek movie
Under the direction of Olatunde Osunsanmi (Star Trek: Discovery, Colony, Blindspot) and the script of Craig Sweeny (Elementary, Medium, Limitless), the plot of Star Trek: Section 31 is kept in the most absolute secret beyond knowing that it focuses on Philippa Georgiou.
Featured in the pilot episode of Star Trek: DiscoveryGeorgiou is not a character that lasts long, as the captain of the USS Shenzou ends up being killed by the Klingons.
However, in the film we will see the version of Philippa Georgiou from the Mirror Universea twisted and evil parallel universe first introduced in the original Star Trek series, where this character was the Empress of the Terran Empire, a despotic regime that conquered countless worlds across the galaxy.

Betrayed in a coup, she was taken to the Prime Universe by Burnham, who saw her old friend in the callous dictator. Over there, She was recruited by the shadowy intelligence agency Section 31.whose amoral tactics matched his own very well.
Georgiou then accompanied Burnham and the rest of the crew of the USS Discovery to the distant future of the 32nd century, but as her native universe had drifted away from the Prime universe at that time, her health began to fail.
In order to save her life, she had to say goodbye to Burnham before the mysterious Guardian of Eternity returned her to the 23rd century, a point where the Paramount+ film will presumably continue / SkyShowtime.
