Rumor has it that SEGA is considering developing a remake of the 2003 platformer Sonic Heroes.
There's currently a lot of buzz in the SEGA rumor mill. The focus here is Sonic Heroesa 3D platformer that was released in December 2003 on various platforms – including the original Xbox console.
It was originally revealed by Universo Nintendo that SEGA was working on a remake of Sonic Heroes for all modern platforms and that Unreal Engine 5 use.
First of all, this report was also written by the well-known insider and X-User @MbKKssTBhz5 aka Midori confirmed. Midori has often been noticed through accurate leaks in the past, especially in relation to the Persona series.
However, fans of the blue hedgehog shouldn't rejoice too soon. Meanwhile, Midori backtracked and put the revelations into perspective. It is now said that SEGA is currently only considering the development of the remake.
Midori cannot confirm any current developments and does not know whether the title will be published in the next three years.
Sonic Heroes once turned the usual Sonic formula on its head with the introduction of teams of three. Only SEGA knows whether there is enough for a remake.
