With its PC system requirements up to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Helldivers 2 sometimes requires strong hardware, depending on the setting. The game does not use ray tracing, but performance improvements through upscaling technologies such as Nvidia's DLSS or AMD's FSR are currently missing, which is why working out the best possible graphics settings for your own hardware can be quite time-consuming given the many setting options.
Helldivers 2: Optimize graphics settings
The PCGamesN website therefore tested the best possible graphics settings using a mid-range system with a Geforce RTX 3070, Intel Core i7-11700F and 32 GiByte DDR4-3200 RAM, which required some adjustments, especially because of the graphics card's 8 GiB graphics memory. However, with the following settings, despite the stylish look, you could achieve an average frame rate of 98 fps in 1,080p and 76 fps in 1,440p with stable gameplay without any significant stuttering, with the P1 percentile lows at 73 fps for 1,080p and 55fps for 1,440 p lays:

Helldivers 2: VRAM, SSD and AMD disadvantages
Ultra texture quality, meanwhile, is only recommended for graphics cards with more than 10 GiB of graphics memory. Nevertheless, the game should preferably be installed on an SSD instead of a classic hard drive, even if the minimum system requirements support the latter. With regard to the expected performance in the game, shortcomings with Ryzen and Radeon have already been highlighted. Helldivers 2 recently received a new hotfix and a new general order and further improvements are expected.
