When we look at the noise canceling headphones market, Sony is an unmissable name. Its WH-1000XM line is constantly considered one of the best on the market, but the Japanese company has a new ace up its sleeve.
Apparently, Sony is ready to launch a new line of top headphones. This will become known as WH-ULT and we already know some details about its first element.
Sony WH-ULT900M will be the brand's new noise-cancelling headphones
Thanks to the well-known Roland Quandt, we learned that Sony is preparing to launch the WH-ULT900M. According to the same source, the letters ULT mean Ultimate or Ultra.
Given this data, we can easily deduce that we are dealing with top headphones. Even so, with an expected price between €180 and €200, it appears that they will not be the Japanese company's flagship, a title that will continue to belong to the WH-1000XM.
The Sony WH-ULT900M will hit the market with 40 mm drivers. With this number, above-average sound reproduction is expected, just as this range of products from the brand has accustomed us to.
Regarding the autonomy of these headphones, it is expected that it can reach 50 hours of playback with noise cancellation turned off. With this feature active, the autonomy of these headphones drops to 30 hours.
The Sony WH-ULT900M will also have support for AAC, LDAC and SBC codecs. They will have a Bluetooth 5.2 connection, support for multi-device connection, Google Fast Pair technology and a voice assistant.
Regarding its design, the images released portray a mix between the WH-XM1000XM5 and the WH-XB910. The result is a product with an elegant appearance and weighing 255 grams.
This model will hit the market in white, black and gray. No date is yet known for the presentation of the Sony WH-ULT900M, but this could happen soon.
