In a little less than a month, the early access phase of the medieval game Manor Lords begins as scheduled, which continues to hold its own in second place on the global Steam wishlist charts. The development of Manor Lords is being followed with excitement – after all, the city builder is being developed by a single person: “Slavic Magic” is single-handedly responsible for the development of the game and encounters shocking moments along the way, which he shares on X/Twitter .
As Slavic Magic announced on the official account for Manor Lords, there have recently been regular blue screens of death (BSOD) during the compile process with the error message “CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT” and other compiler errors. This appeared on both an old and a new computer, so that the hardware itself could be ruled out as the cause – actually.

Because while troubleshooting, the Manor Lords developer, with the active support of his followers, came up with a solution to the puzzle. The error code mentioned occurs particularly with high-speed processors – and both computers had an Intel Core i9-14900KF installed. Only after the CPU Core Ratio has been set does the compile processes (at least since then) run smoothly again, like the account in one another post explained. We can only hope that the developer is spared from further errors of this kind until Manor Lords goes into early access.
