new trailer Odette V Genshin Impact As it turns out, this is one of those films where the developers explain almost nothing directly, but tell a lot through visual imagery. “Innocent Scream” Two aspects of the heroine’s life are shown: the ballet that she dreams of, and the grueling service of Fatui that she must combine with the performance.

However, there is not a single line of dialogue in the trailer. The film is set to an operatic score, and Odette’s story is revealed only through what happens on screen.
At the beginning of the trailer, Odette is not in an ideal position: she tries to perform a ballet step, but makes a mistake, loses her balance and falls. Each new attempt seemed more and more painful: the girl continued to train with all her might, despite fatigue and injuries.
At the same time, they show her services in Fatui, where everything is more difficult and Odette has to fight opponents who are not prepared to give her any concessions. The girl was beaten, she was defeated and eventually fell to the ground again.
It turns out to be a fairly direct visual contrast: on stage, ballet requires Odette to have perfect control of her body, while in Fatouy’s task the demands on her are much the same, it’s just that the cost of mistakes is much higher.
There’s also a separate symbol in the trailer that even non-lore experts might notice. When Odette fails or finds herself in a particularly difficult situation, a red butterfly appears next to her. This is most likely a reference to Signora, who has played an important role in Odette’s life since childhood.
According to the leaked version 7.0 lines, Odette’s father served under Fatui’s wife and died in the line of duty. Later, Rosaline came to express her condolences to the family and then offered to take Odette to Fatui, promising to pay the family. Odette agreed, and although she hated Signora at first, the training was difficult: the girl was stiff, exhausted, fell and injured. Meanwhile, Odette continues to dream of becoming a ballet dancer. Her plan is simple, one day become successful enough to support her mother and then leave Fatui to anger Rosalind.
That’s why the red butterfly in the trailer seems particularly appropriate, as it evokes the man who is both the source of Odette’s pain and the person to whom she finally admits her debt.
Towards the end, the mood of the trailer gradually changes, and if Odette can’t succeed in ballet or fighting at first, then these two parts of her life really come together. While performing the task, the girl responds to her opponent with the ease and precision of a ballet dancer moving across the stage. Her attacks became a dance, her movements no longer seemed awkward or painful.
Meanwhile, Odette actually finds herself on a theater stage, performing in front of an audience. This is the end of her journey from constant falls to victory. Ballet, which once made her make mistakes and fall, eventually became not only her dream, but also a part of her strength.
“Lamentation of Innocence” ends up feeling more like a brief visual exploration of Odette’s character than a typical reveal trailer. There is almost nothing here that can be analyzed point by point, but it does a good job of showing what the heroine must have gone through and why ballet is so important to her.
Odette will appear in the first half of Genshin Impact version 7.0, which will be released soon August 12, 2026. At this point players can add Fatui Ballerina to their team.
