KTC has launched the 27-inch M27P6S gaming monitor, an updated version of the M27P6 with Mini-LED backlight. The new model retains support for two operating modes (4K @ 160 Hz and 1080p @ 320 Hz), but has improved backlighting and a different panel coating.

In the KTC M27P6S, the number of local dimming areas of the Mini-LED backlight has been increased from 1152 to 2304. The new product also features a mirror screen finish instead of the more traditional matte screen. This monitor is based on AU Optronics’ Fast IPS matrix and supports a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 160 Hz. This monitor also supports the second mode, with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 320Hz. KTC claims a screen response speed (GtG) of 2 milliseconds and supports adaptive picture synchronization technology.
Updated Mini-LED backlight provides 1400 cd/m2 peak brightness2 In HDR mode. This monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certified. SDR mode brightness is 550 cd/m2. This screen features 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage, 97% Adobe RGB and 99% sRGB color accuracy, with Delta E <2 color accuracy.
This monitor comes with 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4 port, and 1 USB Type-C port with 65W charging capability. The new product also comes with a USB 3.0 hub and KVM switch. Monitor stands allow you to adjust the height, swivel and tilt of the screen above your desk.
KTC has added the M27P6S monitor model to its Singapore website, but it is not yet available in other regions. The monitor is currently priced at S$636, which is approximately US$500.
