Developer S-Game has announced the official PC system requirements for action role-playing game Phantom Blade Zero. While the initial and standard settings are relatively modest, full path tracking at 4K resolution requires the latest generation of high-end hardware.
Ahead of the upcoming demo, development studio S-Game has released the official system requirements for the PC version of Phantom Blade Zero. This promising martial arts adventure game is based on Unreal Engine 5 and features extremely fast combat and gorgeous visual backgrounds. The published specs cover the entire performance spectrum and reveal in detail the hardware required for smooth gaming at different resolutions.
A two-part picture emerges: while older computers are sufficient for a normal setup, full path tracing at high resolution requires absolutely top-notch hardware. However, there is a basic requirement that runs across all performance categories, as all specified target values explicitly refer to the use of image scaling technologies such as DLSS or FSR.
The barrier to entry for playing games on minimum specs is surprisingly low. If you’re happy with 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, you only need a graphics card, such as an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 with 6 GB of video memory or an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB of memory. In terms of main processor, an older Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 will suffice. Coupled with 16 GB of RAM, owners of older gaming systems can also enter the dark world of gaming.
If you want to experience higher-resolution 1440p action at a smooth 60 frames per second, you’ll have to set the bar even higher. For this, the developers recommend the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with 8 GB of memory or the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12 GB of memory. Processors at this performance level require an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, while RAM requirements remain the same at 16 GB.
Once advanced lighting technology is activated, things get very challenging. To start normal ray tracing at 1080p and 60 frames per second, S-Game recommends an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 with 8 GB of video memory. However, the game delivers the maximum visual experience with 4K resolution at 2160p and full path tracking at 60 frames per second. To handle this extreme computing load, developers need a powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 with 16 GB of VRAM.
Regardless of the graphics level selected, all configurations must be installed on a fast SSD. However, S-Game has not yet quantified the exact storage space required on the hard drive.
Phantom Blade Zero will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 29, 2026. The developers promise to provide more details about gameplay and characters during the State of the Game presentation on August 17, 2026.
