Embracer Group has shared details of the release date for the next series in the Lara Croft adventure series in its latest financial report. The document states that Crystal Dynamics Studios and Amazon Game Publishing plan to release the large-scale action game “Tomb Raider: Catalyst” in the company’s 2027/2028 fiscal year. This means that the new chapter in the series will be available to players from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2028.
Development is taking place on Unreal Engine 5, and the game world promises to be the largest in the series’ history. The plot will send the tomb robber to northern India, which has suffered a mythical catastrophe, where she will have to compete with other hunters for ancient artifacts. Let us remind you that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (a redesign of the original 1996 game) is also scheduled for release in February 2027, so fans of the series will have two major releases at the same time during the short break.
