While all the rumors are surrounding Injustice 3, Bluesky’s NetherRealm boss Ed Boon reports that Injustice 2 has sold extremely well, topping 9 million copies in nine years.
It’s very logical: a dark and gritty alternative look at the DC Universe popularized by the shackles of a psychotic Superman, with content supporting new characters including cameos from Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a comic backstory created by Tom Taylor (even published in Russian) and an animated film adaptation that’s somewhat neutral, if at all.
Part II even has a shareware mobile version. On Steam, the fighting game has a positivity rate of 86% and a peak of 2,100 people online – in addition to the story, there is traditional multiplayer, for which these things are purchased. By the way, the studio has not shared this kind of information about the Injustice series before.

Perhaps in the near future, fans of the Mortal Kombat fighting game series should expect an official announcement of a new installment in the series. The speculation emerged after NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon responded on his Twitter page to fans of another of the studio’s projects, superhero fighting game Injustice 2.
