Kingdom Hearts IV New Pixar World And Release Date Confirmed

The fourth installment in the main series finally has a release date. In a new trailer, the game also confirmed an alternate Pixar world.

Fans’ long wait for Kingdom Hearts IV should be over next year. Square Enix confirmed this in a rough release on Friday, in conjunction with the D23 event. Entries for online retailers have previously sparked speculation in this regard.

The upcoming 2027 is already circulating in rumors as a planned release date. Square Enix has now released a new trailer and confirmed that Kingdom Hearts IV will be released “at the end of 2027.” Release will follow for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).

By the way, this new trailer focuses on showing off a new world in the next video game, which will be based on Pixar’s “Coco” brand. The main characters in the film are Miguel and Hector, who look very similar to those in the film. Sora also appears here – complete with weapons that fit the theme. All three characters team up to fight.

In addition to the new world and release period in the game, Square Enix has also announced, along with Disney, the launch of the animated Kingdom Hearts series on Disney+ and Disney Channel. Tetsuya Nomura and the creative team behind the Square Enix series of games are involved in the project.

The series promises an “all-new story” that will expand the Kingdom Hearts universe and further celebrate popular characters. There is currently no information on the planned release date.
