Microsoft has issued an official 60-day warning stating that support for multiple Windows versions is about to end. The software giant recalled that support for Windows 11 24H2 Home and Pro editions, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016, and Windows Server 2022 will end on October 13, 2026. This means that after this date, the above operating system versions will no longer receive security updates and patches.

Microsoft recommends enterprise customers switch to Windows Server 2025. If this is not possible in the remaining time, the software giant will provide software extension support that will last until October 14, 2031. Through this program, you can continue to receive security updates, reducing your risk.
Unlike its business-to-consumer customers, Microsoft doesn’t have a similar offering. To continue receiving regular updates, they must upgrade to Windows 11 25H2. This applies to Home and Pro editions, while Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11 24H2 will continue to receive updates until October 2027.
We encourage enterprise customers who continue to use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 to upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024. If this is not possible, they can continue to receive security updates through the Extended Support Program for an additional fee.
