Publisher Square Enix has shown off new gameplay for Kingdom Hearts IV and confirmed the project’s release window. The game will be released in late 2027 on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC. Its page has appeared in stores, including the Microsoft Store.
As part of the Xbox ecosystem, Kingdom Hearts IV will receive Play Anywhere support. Information about this is listed on the Microsoft Store’s game page. This will allow players to purchase a copy of the project in order to access it on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
Please note that Square Enix is actively working with Xbox on Play Anywhere. In particular, both parts of Final Fantasy VII Remake received support for the initiative when they were released within the Xbox ecosystem earlier this year. Final Fantasy Resonance will also be released this year with Play Anywhere support.
Square Enix and Disney say that the “Kingdom Hearts” series is already a billion-dollar series, which means that its revenue has exceeded $1 billion. The two companies plan to actively develop the series.
