The sixth installment in the cult series The Elder Scrolls is tentatively scheduled for release in 2028, according to renowned Tamriel lore scholar EpicNate, citing his own sources at Bethesda Game Studios. Rumors about such a game have intensified after Microsoft gaming chief Asha Sharma hinted at the game on social networks, with former Bethesda writer Michael Kirkbride succinctly confirming fan speculation in a comment.
The tournament will take place in the province of Hammerfell and possibly the nearby High Rock. According to leaks from insiders and forums, the plot will likely focus on the confrontation with the Aldmeri Dominion and the Battle of the Adamantine Towers, while Bethesda has not touched upon the Redguard region in The Elder Scrolls Online for years, possibly due to its own plans for the province.
