
Iconic toymaker Mattel has announced the creation of a new division, Mattel Game Studios, that will develop, publish and support video games based on the company’s famous franchises, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Uno, Masters of the Universe, Polly Pocket and Thomas & Friends. The new structure becomes part of Mattel’s Digital Studios division and unites approximately 300 experts in Los Angeles and Hangzhou.
The news comes shortly after Matt acquired mobile studio Mattel163 from Chinese giant NetEase for $318 million.
