A former Rockstar Games employee who was fired last year for unionizing has an unexpected request from the gaming community. Despite the conflict with the studio, they have called on fans not to boycott the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6, as many of them have been working on the game for years.
In a joint appeal by the IWGB union, the former developers noted that they had invested years of their lives in the project and wanted players to enjoy the fruits of their work. Instead of a boycott, they proposed a more effective way to support – the purchase of special charity T-shirts, with all proceeds from sales going towards legal fees in an upcoming lawsuit against the publisher. Let us remind you that court proceedings between the dismissed experts and the company’s management are scheduled for next month.
