Chinese company Game Science showed a 15-minute gameplay video of the second game in the Black Myth series, “Black Myth: Zhong Kui”. The film shows the protagonist’s battle in detail for the first time, and also includes the first snippets of the plot.
The developers stressed that the game is in the early stages of production. All footage shown was recorded directly from a project beta version of gameplay with a 21:9 aspect ratio, so some elements may change in the final version of Black Myth: Zhong Kui.
The film’s description includes a poem dedicated to the new heroic story:
“An old friend came to visit and appeared in a dream.
Familiar faces and past deeds have disappeared from my sight,
But I remember each of them day and night.
Love is old, and the right road is long;
The present favor or hurt does not determine the final song.
Who says hell is far away?
That’s even better because I can walk on it again. “
Black Myth: Zhong Kui is in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but a release date has not yet been announced.
