Popular Chinese video services Bilibili Announced major expansion and officially entered the international market. The move will allow the platform to expand beyond its home region and reach new audiences around the world.
The Resource Authority has not yet revealed the exact timing for a full international launch. A proprietary mobile app is already available for public download, but the interface is still primarily translated into Chinese. In the future, the developers plan to add complete language localization to facilitate foreign audiences.
The platform, headquartered in Shanghai, is known for its unique barrage comment system that can fly directly on videos. Initially, the service grew as a community for fans of anime, manga, and video games, but over time it turned into a global media giant with documentaries and shows.
